OMG I've been sewing Barbie clothes
#11
The year I got my first Barbie doll, my mon bless her heart made me for christmas a chest of drawers and a closet out of cigar boxes, a couch and a chair to match and a bed along with clothes.
When my daughter got hers I "tried" to make her clothes but well that went to the way side fast. HATED it. But she did have the furniture that my mom made to play with.
I liked making clothes for her Baby Doll much better that was fun as I was making all of her clothes at the time her doll and her had matching outfits that was fun to do.

I made some of the clothes back in the early 60's with my chainstitch machine. What a pain that machine was. I would sew every seam several times in different directions to make sure they didn't come unstitched. I wish my mom would have shown me that I could back stitch or tie the ends. Anyway, back then the clothes patterns even had linings to them. They fit better than clothes do now, and none of them were stretchy. But, the dolls now are built different and the clothes from then don't fit them without alterations. Thanks for the memory!!!
