    Cute ad campaign, but it makes me wonder ultimately how successful it was. Were their adoption numbers boosted at all by the end of the campaign?

    Black dogs are often left unadpoted at the shelter or pound. We got a "used" black Lab mix from some people at our church who were traveling a lot and finding it difficult to take care of Missy. She had originally been dumped at the pound years ago, expecting a litter of pups. We've had her now for 6 years, and at 16 she's showing her age and slowing down. But her sweet nature remains the same. We'd definitely consider another black Lab in the future.

    My big black pit/lab (?) mix is dumber than dirt but so incredibly loving! Black dogs need homes too!
