Placed a large order from Connecting Threads with some friends for batting. The pick up slip said x3. Post master comes out with two boxes. I asked about there being three--she has the slip now. She says nope only two. I come home and two packages of batting are not there and the paperwork not there. One had tape loose but I doubt batting could be slipped out. Anyway, I did not go back to post office but will tomorrow. I hope the third box just got separated as I will have to eat the other two if they go missing as I paid for the whole order. Let it be a lesson maybe. Will let you all know tomorrow how it turns out. Our post master is very snippy. Sometimes known as the Witch with a "B".

    1. Don't place large orders with friends.

    2. Be more vigilant on what the pick up slip says.

    3. Don't let the post master brush me off.

As far as I know everything was shipped. But I will contact them on the # of boxes. I have ordered from them before many times and they are great.

I, too, have no home delivery so all mail is picked up at the post office. Let me say that my DH and I shop on-line a fair bit and I'm often surprised when picking up my mail. I've had exactly that thing happen to me, except we get one card per package. I had handed over my 3 cards and received only 2 parcels. When I questioned it, the postmaster said two cards were for the same parcel. Seemed odd, but I couldn't check. A few days later, there was another parcel card in my mailbox. This time a different postal worker, who confessed that they had misplaced one of my parcels. AHA!

I LOVE picking up the mail and getting a parcel :D
Hopefully they find your missing parcel.

I am hoping all is well. Maybe they got separated coming down on the truck from Anchorage. I am still hopeful.

It must be nice to have such job security that you can treat your customers so poorly. You would think that with the post office having so many problems, they would try to make themselves invaluable to their customers as a reason to be kept open! I hope you are able to get it resolved correctly. Batting is expensive and necessary. Good Luck!
