Oh so cute. i thought you couldn't add to the flock a year later, the older ones in my girlfriends flock picked the new ones to death last spring, so she gets rid of the whole flock at once and grows a whole new flock when some get too old.Just asking, I don't know the details.

They are so cute. I can remember when we were stationed in Louisiana, friends of ours had a couple of roosters. Did not like them!!!! They were two of the meanest!!! They both attacked me one day while I was out in the backyard by myself. The only thing I could get my hands on was a mop and I nailed each on quite a few times while hollering at the top of my lungs for their owner to get out there. From that day on, she always made sure her roosters were pinned up. I think I knocked them senseless but I didn't care. Those spurs hurt on the bare legs!!! Anyway....that was my experience with roosters...and I still don't like them. lol

Oh I just love them, I need to move to a rural area and a warmer climate, I spent a lot of time on my grandparents farm when I was growing up. They had all kinds of animals, but the chicken coop was where they could always find me, if I had trouble with one of them, they were dinner that nite.

might have alredy been asked but what kind of chicks are they? I have never seen them before, I haven't been on a farm in years, but they don't look like anything I saw growing up. I really think they are adorable.

Congratulations on your new fuzzies! I am so jealous. While traveling last summer out west, Utah I think, we were in a home/farm supply store and they had flats of chicks/ducklings/etc. I wanted one so bad, DH saw that look in my eye and drug me out of that store so fast! Maybe someday when I move to a farm.
