Awhile ago I had asked for some tourist infor on Charleston & Savannah & thanks to everyone who answered. However, we have decided to go to Memphis this time so now I would love to get infor on everything to do there besides the regular tourist attractions. We'll be going the end of Feb. so most importantly I would like to know about the weather. Are there any out of the way places that only the locals would know about but that are great to visit or dine at? I told my cousin that you guys would be the best ones to get information from so anything you tell me about will be greatly appreciated. As of now we're planning on staying at the Holiday Inn Select Downtown off of Beale Street. Any quilt or fabric stores near by? If there are I don't plan on telling my husband but I may just have to wander off & accidently stumble into one!

Go to Graceland.

We went in June. Graceland was awesome. Disappointed in downtown Memphis.
Beale Street --they party til 2 or 3 am; so none of the shops open til 11 am. Found a Quilt shop in Franklin. If you are driving , I got off the Freeway and took country roads; less stressful and prettier.
