out my kitchen window

We have about six of them here in town and I call them our wondering yard ornaments. I enjoy them but they sure are hard on the flowers and gardens of other neighbors. Don't know why but they have left my roses alone. Must be my doorman Chuck "a blue healer"

We lived in the city of North Little Rock, AR where our property was very close to a huge urban park and we had more wild life in our yard than we ever saw out camping. Deer, raccoon, ground hogs, foxes, plus all the common like squirrels, etc. It was a joy to sit in the den and feel like we were in the country.

I miss it so much. Moved from the Black Hills of SD to Hill Country Texas. After being here a year, I dream about days like you have. But I would never wish this for Texans, I see how the drive on dry roads. Thanks for sharing.
