We've had white, blue, snowflake and icicile lights. New rule is "stay off ladders". We got smart after DH's coworker fell off the roof putting up lights. I hang snowflake lights in the front window and we put up the outside nativity with a spotlight, wreath hung on the gate. Enough outside stuff for us.

To me Christmas colors are red, green, gold. I have resisted pinks and blues for years, but they are wearing me down!! That being said, outside lights are all white. Those icicle ones... we also have some big blow ups. A 30' Christmas tree. Elf. And a toy soldier. We rotate them although last year, we put up all 3. Kind of cool. We put a big spotlight in the tree and it really shines!!! I can't wait for the holidays!!!!

We use multi colored lights for the outside of the house. DH turns the yard light post into a christmas tree with green lights and a red star on top. Our hedges are covered in the mesh lights. It's very pretty and easy to put up and take down.

lol Suz re: blinding the pilots....funny. Well....you know what I mean
I like white with a color. Either green or red for me. Ekuw: your daughter sounds like mine. She always thinks of her Jewish friends when I decorate in white and blue. I say it's a season for everyone.
Do what you like! And let us see a pic when done
