What has your experience been with them?

I thought they seemed more fragile than the cardboardy envelopes.

When I was putting things in them, the flap seemed to tear quite easily - and I wasn't even stuffing them.

I use the padded flat rate envelopes ($4.95)for my swaps and they are just perfect. They have to be ordered from the ON-LINE PO, and come in 15 per order.

Love them! I'm almost done with my 2nd case of 100.
I've had one or two rip slightly on me during the stuffing stage, but I'm a tape fiend anyway, so that covered it. ;-)

I like them, I have had the cardboard ones get ripped all to shreds, so I like the fact that the padded ones are softer and don't have those sharp creases that seem to get ripped open.

I put almost everything in a plastic bag before putting it in the outer envelope.

I guess I'm a "belt and suspenders" kind of person.

THANK YOU...they are worthless...if you do get the fabric stuffed into them, and I do it neatly/carefully, the top tears before you can close it..and there is still room....so then I get to the PO and the bottom and POPPED open..even the clerk was stunned as there was still room for more stuff..but the envy can not handle it...I use mainly my cardboard ones still!

I just used them this weekend and I thought they were okay. I didn't have any trouble putting the fabrics in them, no ripping noted. I always close the priority envelopes using the sticky tape on them and then I put mailing tape on the top and bottom seams. Just don't want to take any chances of things falling out. FYI, this has never happened to me but I want to make sure it doesn't!

The cardboard ones are notorious for the seal failing, especially if they are old at all. I always reinforce too.
