I follow all Suzie Orman's advice. She knows what she is talking about. I am happy for you. Yes the stock is falling agian cause for the world. good think to get out of it now.

My retired co-workers and I lost so much this year on our investments. But it could be worse. Just hang in there, maybe the market will rebound and we will all get some of it back!!!!

I think you made the right decision. You may hate dipping into your savings, but you actually saved more by not paying the loan interest than you would have gotten in interest on that amount of savings. (If you took a loss on the stocks, at least you can write that off on your taxes.) And it's one less monkey on your back, and no worries about it being repossessed if things should have gone really wrong.

Congrats!! we paid off our house in Dec 2010 and my car in Feb 2011 I am so doing the happy dance. I too have been unemployed for a long time than found a part time job-just got to what you got to do. Hang in there something will come up for you too.:)

put bank loan and car loan amount together. or you can pay they usual amount on the bank loan and then pay some extra so it goes faster. Jan
