CarrieAnne- I have to say I probably would have done the same thing. I'm such a sucker for 4 legged friends too :D
I love what you did- that's different from the topic sorta.
    You are a sweet soul!!!

This happens all to frequently these days. A lot of it is scams, junkies, alcoholics or just plain con men or women. Here in Central Oregon we have quite a few "homeless"people. or so they say. A lot use the same sign that they are Vets, I think they do this to garner sympathy for donations. Some aren't even old enough to serve anything but hamburgers.
The climate here isn't as nice as some places, it gets cold here at night even in the summer. My husband wonders why the homeless would want to be here.

update: I called mall security this morning and apparently they have escorted this woman off the premises previously and charged her with criminal trespassing. She has been doing this for quite some time. She must have been getting the money more often than not to keep returning.

I don't know whether to feel bad for her or sorry for us.

you are absolutely right---there was a mall in southeastern PA where there was a man dressed as a woman & was just asking for a ride. had a knife in his boot. fast thinking saved the driver who pretended they forgot their package in the mall & got security..........

I am glad you are safe and glad you took the time to report her, you probably saved someone else's lives!

    Thank you!

Thanks for the reminder (and I'm glad you're ok). Just a tip for anyone driving anywhere ALWAYS DRIVE WITH YOUR DOORS LOCKED. Twice I have had people try and open my car doors whilst stopped at traffic lights, you have to be really careful these days....too many desperate types.
