This reminds me of something that happened to me last week that also alarmed me. I was turning my car around in a Subway parking lot in the evening when a youngish man came running as fast as he could across the busy road and right toward my car. He made eye contact with me and was running with no shirt on, clutching a bottle of water. I was grateful that my car automatically locks my doors when it's on. All of a sudden, he mouthed "oh, sorry" and changed direction. As I left the parking lot, I saw him across the street talking to someone in a car that was similar to mine, same color, similar make. Did give me a little start, though.
Glad you were okay, glad you reported it.

Thank goodness you handled it this way. Too many times out of the goodness of our hearts we try to assist someone, and only end up hurt. Hopefully you or someone else reported her to security, that's part of their job.

WOW, I am so glad you called to talk to them about it. If there is a positive in her situation, at least she isn't hurting people physically. Still, it makes me wonder why she needs the money. Is it for drugs or to really live off of?

My truck and my husband's truck both have door locks that automatically engage when you reach a certain speed or when it's put into gear.

I had a man walk up to me at Wal-mart's parking lot asking for gas money. he surprised me so that i gave him a few dollars. he wasn't scary so i guess that's why i did that. never again though!

My truck doors lock when I take it out of park and I think after I've driven 15 seconds. Very nice feature.
