My brother and I sold items on ebay a few years ago. We used Pay Pal and had no problems at all.

I love PP and have used it overseas(Hong Kong and Australia) and here in America. Sent money to kids and use it to pay for items bought online. Refunds are processed immediately with no hassle.

I like Paypal and have been using it for 10 years now. Only one or two little problems, but really appreciated it when they would question a purchase and call me on the phone to ask me about it. If you are going to sell on the auctions, they are the best way to go. Get a business account and a debit card. You can spend as you earn that way. It will be tied to your checking account, so beware, an overdraft will cause them to get the funds from the checking account. I recommend them with caution as with anything dealing with your money.

I have paypal, but I don't link it to my mostly used checking account. I have a seperate account for it.
