Really? Well I'll be darned. Aren't they about to give us an increase? And an increase in Medicare that will take away the COL raise plus. I want a BIG lottery win and a private island. I can get everything else online.

Yes, my sister (whose husband plants peanuts) gave me that news this past weekend. Said peanuts are real short this year and it could double or more in price. Maybe we will just eat less.

Got my big jar and hopefully it will last a while. Geez, if it's not peanut butter, then it's canned pumpkin, flour, sugar or whatever. Think it's a plug to make people panic and buy???

I can't imagine not having PB in the house its the best energy boost.. I moved to the city to do less driving so my gas savings could go to my food budget prior to this I quit buying fabric to put that $ in the gas tank. And for those of us on SS we will not be getting a 'cost of living' increase again this year- I'm starting to wonder how long one can survive on just vitamin supplements???

Wow, I had better stock up! I used to use a lot of it only at Christmas, but now we have our 14 yr old g-daughter living with us and even tho I buy 2 jars at a time from Sams, it seems we are always out!

On another message board, they said coffee, peanut butter and jams/jellies were all going up.

I haven't noticed anything stablizing in the stores...everything is going thru the roof and it's going to get worse.

I hate to mention the word in here but it has everything to do with politics.
