My friend called me from Sams today and said there has been a run on peanut butter. They got in over 1000 units (2 large jars to a unit) and they all sold in 2 days. Some people were buying 10 and 12 of them. The price is going up and I don't have any in the house. Sams is sold out now and don't know when they'll get more.

Well, I have to say that I really feel for those of you who have to buy peanut butter! I had heard the price for it would be going up. I am not too concerned, myself...a jar of peanut butter at my house lasts about 6 months. We just rarely eat the stuff. And, I never ever eat a peanut butter sandwich. Yuck!

Sad but true, everything is going skyhigh but Peanut Butter (groan), that's a downright crime. I hope you find some soon. Stock up if you can. With the economic situation we're in, I fear we're all in for some big changes.

Do you remember when this happened with toilet paper - think it started on Johnny Carson as a joke... until people actually started fighting over the "last" rolls of toilet paper!!!

I heard that it was going to go up from multiple sources. I stocked up for Christmas cookies and candies.
