I think instead of buying a machine that does one thing that it would be great to own one that does many. My next thing will be the multi cooker at Walmarts, does the rice, slow cook, sears, etc. They also have it in different sizes, oh yeah, it is also a pressure cooker.

My niece took an electric frying pan and regular coffee pot to college with her. Her mother sent pre-cut garden fresh veggies already for her to throw into the skillet. Her roommate helped with their small stipend allowed for groceries. They ate better and didn't pack on the freshmen 15. They weren't suppose to be cooking regular meals but they learned to be fast and cleaned up immediately. Her roommate actually learned how to cook by helping. In the end her room mate took a culinary class.
