The Magic Eraser by Mr. Clean has cleaned more "accidental" marks off my kitchen table. I haven't met a job it couldn't handle.

(and I keep a separate one to clean the stubborn doggie slobber marks off my glass doors with extreme ease.)

My DGS is very proud of not only his ability to draw 'big trucks' (18-wheelers) but to also write on them what color they are (red, blue, yellow)...my hall may never be the same!

If the above mentioned items do not work, get some Goof Off you can get it at the local hardware store. We purchased some laminate wood flooring which had some permanent marks on it (at a very discount price) and the installer purchased the Goof Off and it took every mark off. I have used it on other items and has worked every time.

Fit Vegetable Wash got black permanent marker off my textured fridge door. Nothing else worked.

Those are great IF you keep them away from little ones. I had a picture of a little boy that had rubbed his face with one...had 3rd degree burns on his little face and hands. IF I didn't delete it, I will post it.
I personally don't have them in my home.

Rubbing alcohol works the best for permanent markers.

wd-40, either the spray or the new felt-tip applicator. Its not toxic like hairspray, no CFCs to get in your lungs.
