I have a three-pound Teacup Poodle and a five-pound Maltese. The Poodle is a Therapy Dog and we visit hospitals and nursing homes. The Maltese is still young and rambunctious, but adorable. My Daughter and Son-in-Law gave me the poodle when my husband was coming home to Hospice. I thought "Oh, Dear Lord, I don't need this right now!" But the Lord knows best and that little dog helped me keep my sanity in the days after Bob passed away. He is a treasure for sure.

4 schnausers, Sparkley Barkley "Woo Woo". Cydnee Lou Who, Woofie JYS(Junk Yard Schnauser)and Gabby Abby Cakes. All sleep in our king bed and don't know they are really dogs. They live to go get pizza in the car, and they love BlueBell Homemade Vanilia Ice Cream.

2 Shiba Inus: Robun (he's named after a poet, an architect & baseball player in Japan) and Aiko (means something like 'gentle love' in Japanese). And, a 'pound kitty' named Dixie Mittens the Third (why 'the Third'? It had a nice ring to it). Dixie holds her own with the Shibas. They're a wonderful family!
They all have their own quilts and inspect to appreciate every one I ever make.

Currently living at this address is 1 black chihuahua named Diablo. We have had collies, English setters, American Spitz, snakes, lizards, fish, and rabbits. Now it is just DH, Diablo, and me! The children and their zoo have departed!

Borzoi are wonderful dogs...I had 2 males many years ago. Along with 2 female Giant Schnauzers. (loads of fun when the girls went in heat to avoid what a bizarre outcome the breeds combined might produce)!
They had such different personalities and qualities. We'd teach the Schnauzers so the Borzoi could watch, then they'd consider copying the Schnauzers to get some credit too.
Grooming....What a job!
Always happy memories of the joy they brought.
