Photoshop Users??
Is anyone out there a user of any of the Photoshop programs? Aren't there several different ones and what could I do with the basic program or should I invest in the more detailed program?? I would like to use them with quilting, thanks in advance

Just make sure that the operating system is compatible with your computer. Photoshop elements 10 is a very good program which costs about $100AU. If you want to buy CS6 version it costs $4,344.00, so that might be the decider. The full programs are for professionals and enthusiasts and the elements programs for happy snappers.
I have Elements 2 and it is still very good for quilt designs. As photography is my hobby, it is also good to use the CS4 program that I have. Some of CS4 will not work fully on Windows 7 but ok on Vista and XP.

Look for photoshop elements. Very reasonably priced and you can get a copy at Costco, SAMs, and other retailers... Amazon. Comes in Mac and pc... You can find lots of tutorials and lessons online, and many senior centers or community colleges offer classes. Be sure to get the elements version, should retail between 50 to100..

I have old Photoshop 2.0!! I've looked at the "new" Photoshops but can't find that they do anything more than my old one! I like that it enables me to "Save for Web" so pictures upload quickly but look great.
