Actually, you-all makes some sense. You is singular and you-all is plural.
No, bear, "Y'all" is singular and "All Y'all" is plural. You-all is something that people who moved from North to South use in place of Y'all. Or maybe it came from somewhere else, but not from the South.

And here in the South, "Coke" is generic. "Does anyone want a coke? What kind?" I do still use "Pop" when I go back to Ohio, though.

I absolutely cannot stand when someone says "Awnry" for Ornery. For some reason that drives me nuts.

Y'all's exactly right. All y'all have come up with lots of funny phrases. (I learned this pretty fast as an Iowan who transferred to South Texas 23 years ago.) I also learned that streets are made of ce' ment, you have to have in'surance and jewelry is shown off in a dis' play. But I love it here anyway.

Old rural south has it's on language. My grandparents would slow down the tv (lower the volume) The kitchen stove burners are called stove eyes, the trunk of the car is the turtle hull.

In our area (or "neck of the woods") the plural of you is YUNZ.

You are supposed to say burner? I've always said eyes. Having a southern Mama must have really messed me up. I also have to remind myself to say "bag" not "poke". My Mama always says poke.

How about "rainin' harder than a cow peeing on a flat rock". That one is from my Mamaw.

Heard a version about the cow and the flat rock - a bit less "refined"

How about "useless as teats on a boar" (boar - an uncastrated domestic male pig)

 I admit to classing Mamaw up for publication. And, let's just say, classing my Mamaw up could be a full time job. She had some wild sayings.

Doesn't everyone say the boar one?

How about "finer than a frog's hair"?

I'm starting to understand why I was so good over on the redneck thread!!!
