Brrr... hello all... everything is closed here today. I am one hour south west of Toronto, on Lake Ontario. The university, college, all schools, and even the mall where I work is closed! Glad to know that all of my children and their families are having a snow day and are not on the roads.
The good news is... I figured that I might need a project for today so, yesterday I went out and got some great material to make a bug jar quilt for a family reunion silent auction and some pale lavender yarn for my next afghan. Now I don't know what to start.
Hope all of you who are experiencing this storm are safe and snug whatever and wherever you are.

Believe it or not, it's 17 degrees at my house in central Texas today, and that's cold enough for me. At least we don't have snow and ice, but we do have a chance for snow tomorrow evening. However, our area is experiencing rolling blackouts because of the drain on electricity due to the cold.

Well - I'm in Snowy Brook, formerly known as Stony Brook. Here is a shot of my front yard.

As I told my neighbor - It'll take more snow than this to bury my JOY!

I sure would like to be sewing. We are having scheduled black outs here in most of Texas. Trying to keep the overload down. Soo, all my machines are unplugged and next will be the computer, when I finish this. Ya'll have a great day!! :-)

Mine looks like that too. I am thanking God that we did not get enough solid ice to lose power for a week like last year.

I found a nice old treadle sewing machine on craig's list last summer and brought it home. I am ready for anything now!

Very glad we didn't have to contend with black outs. I would be in a world of hurt as I need the electric to heat and cook.
