Pictures of the Day
#11
I love peonies too and mine are in full bloom, right on time for Memorial Day. They smell like roses to me.
I have a sewing machine that looks like yours. The manual that came with it says Singer 15-91. Billy said it is 1950. Mine was given to me so I couldn't give you an idea of value.

Thanks for your estimate, Charlee - I think I will try to sell it what I paid for - $125. I have never used it but maybe I should try it out, huh?
Your machine sure DOES look like mine, Melody! do you use yours? Is the cabinet the same also?
It looks like the peonies MIGHT be done blooming so soon - baHHHHHHHH!!
Thanks for all the responses!!

My impression is that the cabinets are usually worth more than the machines.

My cabinet is different. It weighs a ton even though it isn't very big. The woman who owned it bought it new in 1950 (I just found this out) and she was a seamstress by trade. I have not used it yet because the wiring from the motor to the foot pedal is cracked with the insulation falling off. So DH will replace that and then I'm good to go!
HA!I have a cabinet just like yours but its on my mother's old Touch n Sew. (70's I think)

Here is a link to my gardens on this forum. Some pics of my peonies are in it. I love them all... pink, white, red. Yours are gorgeous! My mom always called them "Pinies". ;-)
And I love that peonie quilt too!!!
