to the many of you who live in snow country...please don't laugh at us Houstonians during the anticipated snow tomorrow and Friday. We aren't used to this. And in return we promise not to laugh at you guys when you have the freak hurricane now and then. OK, so you don't have hurricanes in Montana, but you get my drift......get it? Snow...drift?

Happy Quilting to all, and to all a good night!

I always do chuckle a bit over how some areas tend to shut down over a skiff of snow  but I do understand that areas like yours are just not equipped or used to dealing with any :D:D:D

I have so much sympathy for all of you in USA and other countries which have such extremes of weather, my heart always goes out to you at these times.. Some parts of Australia are having a terrible time of it too.

I hope you can stay home and warm. If you're not used to it it can be a shock.

I won't laugh I promise. I've lived in MN most of my life other than for the three years I spent in Dallas for school. I still remember the morning I rolled out of bed and left for school(class started at 7 am) not really awake, diden't even registar the SNOW on the ground. Drove all the way to school--it was closed. LOL I learned to watch the weather better and keep the number for school in my phone so I could sleep in. :-)

I think it snowed once when I lived in Houston in the early 80's. We actually got to use our fireplace. Now hurricane Alicia was not so fun. I don't mind the rain but she had too many tornadoes for my taste.

It's not the snow that gets us Texans, its the ice that seems to come before the snow making the roads 6 lane skating rinks for cars. Not a pretty sight.

You got that right! I have an inch of ice on my driveway. Did you see the news clips of the snow plows in Dallas trying to get Loop 12 (I think it was) clear? Gotta keep the roads clear for Sunday's game.
