Default Please; best choice for a quote option on iPod?

I'm ordering an iPod Touch 6 - they are finally released! I've loved and used my Touch 4 for 6+ years; all the apps, programs, and info make my daily life so much easier. It's time for the upgrade.

I'm having the custom engraving added. I will have my name on Line 1, and want to use a J.R.R. Tolkien quote on the second line. It is:

Not all those who wander are lost.

The quote is one character too long. My choices...

    (1) Leave out the word "those" and keep the period at the end. It would be...

Not all who wander are lost.

    Or...

    (2) Leave off the period and have an unpunctuated quote in its original form...

Not all those who wander are lost

Having the original words is very important to me; proper punctuation is very important to me.

Which would you choose? Which would Tolkein choose? Oh the things I worry about...

Enjoy it. I couldn't afford one of Apple's products so I have an Android table which is fine for watching TV.

I would opt for all the words and skip the punctuation.

I would leave off the period. I think the words are more important than the punctuation. Unless you think it would drive you crazy.

Without all the words it would not be a true quote. Leave he punctuation off

YouYou can always use an engraving pen ( inexpensive, available in hardware stores) and add the period yourself after you get it. They are sold to use to identify your possessions.

Well, you could leave off the "Not." That would kind of change it, though...

I'd go for #2. Then you could put a tiny sticker on it for the dot.

Go for #2, find a way to put dot on it, if you feel the need.
