I tie my half aprons up over my bust and under my armpits. My Mom and Grandma B made these.
It's a super-dorky look, but it does the job.
I've never gotten around to making "real" cover-up aprons.
The butcher type aprons don't cover me the way I want them to.

On the site www.craftster.org type plussize apron/MrsFibble is an old post from march 2013 in it is a link to tutorial.
It's a great apron, and I may try to make one for myself
However, I'm not sure if it is the one you were talking about.
