Love the pictures brought back memory's when the DH had to swim in Lake Michigan and that LAKE is always cold also. Oh and those cabins are to die for i could live in one all year around.

    Hey marcia!

amazingly, once we got out of the water, we warmed up quickly. Plus there was the bonfire, so that helped! Won't find cold water like that down in Hotlanta - even in the winter!!

it is worth the vacation, Ruth! I never imagined anything so beautiful and peaceful while growing up in Alabama! Pennsylvania has some beautiful spots (where I lived for a few years) but the beauty in the North Woods is unbelievable!

Thank you for the beautiful pictures. I LOVE the summer scenery in person, and the winter scenery from afar!

The water in the smaller lakes is much warmer that the water in Great Lakes.

I was born in Detroit Lakes and have family further up in Thief River Falls. I want to get up there soon for a visit, not a family emergency. :?
