    It bugged me until in the middle of the night I remembered the story that the cartoon references: Hemingway's "Of Mice and Men". (There was a great black and white film with Burgess Meredith and Lon Chaney Jr.) This comes under the heading of dark humor. No wonder I laughed so hard.

    P.S., the wolf must know the story too and that's why he's so worried.
