Depends on the station you go to in the oil boom area it is a full 3.90 a gal for the 87 and down towards Minot 2 hr east it is 3.40. When you gotta have it you gotta pay. No other way round it. I drive for a living in 2 jobs and get .565 per mile. doesn't cover all the costs, but does help.

This afternoon we paid $3.07 for regular; there's a gas station not too far listed on the gas price website for $2.99.
I'm in NJ just outside of Manhattan where it's over $4/gallon.

It ranges from 3.04 at Sam's Club (member only) to 3.57 at one of the Shell stations. I just checked my Gas Buddy iPhone app. It pays to know, if you have more than one station near you. They vary wildly. I don't understand any of this. Two Shell stations that are less than 2 blocks apart are 18 cents different. I'm sure they got their gas delivered by the same tanker. It's whatever the market will bear, but I think access to this information at the tips of many people's fingertips is bound to cause a change. You don't need a smart phone - it's online, too.
