I had just bought a complete set of replacement inks! If I had been almost out of all the inks I would have discarded the printer.

It is an Epson Stylus Photo R300 Series.

It's almost gotten trashed several times.

One time - after I took it in to someplace to get it fixed - and I was told it would be cheaper to buy a new one - I brought in and just set it down "hard" and that rejuvenated it.

The reset for this machine is:

Press: Stop, Power, and Maintenance keys all at once.

It then makes a horrible sound like gears are being stripped.

Sometimes it works.
