Thanks Nursie! I will give it a try - guess I just have never been a water drinker - but I will start off tomorrow drinking water. If anyone should know - you should!!!

Carole - Let me know how it works. You will make a lot more....ummm....pit stops for the first few days until your body adjusts, but then it levels off.

I will let you know how it works out, Nursie. My weigh in is on Thursday so------we will see how it works. It is going to be a job getting use to drinking water LOL. But I am going to do it.

Maybe you could add some flavoring to your water at first, like something low cal. I like the taste of bottled water and seem to drink more that way. (I'm sure it's all in my mind) Some have said on this thread that green tea is very good to drink, revees up the metabolism.

Hi Everyone...I love this website...quilting and weight loss! I have been on a weight loss/gain all of my life. Right now my hubby and I are on a year long journey to see how much we can lose in one year. We started last July 7 and so far have lost 57 pounds. It has been a slow loss, about 8 pounds a month, but it has been the best "diet" I've been on. Need to lose more, so I will be coming back here for encouragement and to give encouragement to others.

Hmmm green tea - anything that will revee up my metabolism
is worth a try. Boy this getting "older" and trying to loose weight sure isn't very easy - is it? But onward and downward I must go - I have my son's wedding to think of LOL

Green tea is supposed to help with the metabolism and it has other health benefits also. But be careful, it can cause heartburn for some people. I am one of them (only can drink a little once in a while) and if DH drinks more than a little, the same happens to him.
