A "memory" fat quilt-great idea! Eat up the quilt not the junk!
My knees are feeling the weight for sure. I was in a pretty bad car accident when I was sixteen and I decimated my right knee and severed the quad muscle and I also fractured both ankles so my legs are not the strongest to begin with and all of this added weight is not helping them I know!!
I must I must I must DECREASE my.....butt lol

I am so excited I just got back from seeing my doctor, she was so proud of me that she actually walked across the room and gave me a big hug. I have lost 24 pounds since I was there in October and she was just thrilled with how well I have been doing. She doesn't even know how well I am going to do in the month of March so I can win those fat quarters! I think I just lost a pound thinking about it. To help make that happen, I added a new more challenging workout to my routine this week. I had that gain last week, and I plan to really concentrate on my portion control (counting points more carefully) and I am not going to blow off my workout routines because of being too busy.

I think the idea of food fat quarters is a great suggestion. I am going to start looking for the pattern now. How about a jar quilt? Well I have the whole month to figure out how I am going to use those FQ's I win from all of you. Good Luck to everyone. And just for today: Smile.

This is an excerpt from an e-mail I receive from Jonathan Roche, No Excuses Workouts. I think it is worth reminding every one to look for and start celebrating your small victories.

"Celebrate your Small Victories!
Do you take the time to be proud of yourself and acknowledge your baby steps towards better health? Taking the stairs instead of the elevator, parking in the furthest spot at the grocery story, drinking 64 ounces of water during the day, doing your Interval or NEWO Workout, etc. should all be celebrated.
Don't be so busy that you do not take the time to be proud of yourself and don’t look down on the small changes that you are making to improve your health. By celebrating your small victories, you will have a heightened feeling of accomplishment (that is authentic and deserving) that will definitely keep feeding your motivation and results. So regardless of how small the step (an extra trip up and down the stairs while doing laundry), Celebrate your Small Victories"

You should be proud of your accomplishments! Thanks laparshall you are so encouraging :-D But don't count yourself the winner yet LOL!! You are competing against 32 other determined quilters :D :D I have a renewed determination for the month of March and being careful of my calorie intake.

I am starting out this race like the hare, hope I don't come in as the turtle

Wait a minute the turtle WON

Yes the turtle did win. But if you are going to win, you are going to have to work for it along with the rest. Did I mention, I am focusing on drinking extra water again too. I'm sure there are many others who want those FQ's. Anyone else out there busting out of the gate with new resolve?

I will sit here nice and quiet let all of you make all these plans of being the biggest looser then I spring to life and get way ahead of you and I will be the biggest looser and win all those lovely fat quarters while you all thought I was just twiddling my thumbs. LOL

I'd just like to eventually get the fat quarters off each side of my butt. I totally plan to contribute to the FQ's cause I lose so slow. But I'll keep on it, anyway. :!:
