Great idea - I also make clothes for my granddaughters's 18" dolls. I purchase the patterns when they go on sale for a dollar each. This Christmas I made dresses for the GD's and then made matching dresses for their dolls. They also got aprons, hot pads and chef's hats, and they each got a baseball shirt and pants, along with a pair of tights, a leotard and matching tutu. (all for the dolls). Last year I had my son build the girls beside tables that can hold the dolls and hanging clothes on one side and has 3 shelves on the other side. It's always nice to have a handy person in the family!

That is so cute. Great idea!! Where do you get the hangers?

There are actually several places to get the coat hangers but here is where I got them.

Great idea!!! I have made enough American Girl doll clothes this year to fill it up! They are so much fun to make and way easier than Barbie clothes.

That is much nicer than the ones I've seen commercially. Great idea and have fun filling it up.

I KNOW what you mean about the price of a certain kind of dolls accessories! We too have a granddaughter with one of those dolls. I've made some clothes for the doll and matching purse for the granddaughter. The bookcase closet is a wonderful idea. Watch out, you may end up making them for others - - starting you own cottage industry!

I bought one at Target this Christmas when they were on sale. Still more expensive then yours and doesn't hold nearly as many clothes. I am going to make one of those for my granddaughter. They look easy. Especially if you can get the lumber place to cut the rod.
