oh how funny....some people think we ALL wear/know name brands...to this day I think Vera Bradley bags are UGLY....and yet I have a friend that will pay $200 for one..WHY????

Wow, she sure missed a great compliment if she had just thought about what you said and what she could have said.
I would have said thank you so much for the compliment |
She was a S N O B
with a capital "S". J J |
LMBO. She spent that much on a bag that someone had the audacity to think is home made. Poor thing. (Not really) She sounds pretty materialistic (and I don't mean that in the complimentary fabric way...)

My DD had the same experience complementing a woman on her quilted purse. "your purse is beautiful! Did you make it?"
Woman answers very huffy"I did NOT! It's a Vera Wang!" DD said 'Oh. never mind then" |
I am about to give my sister a Charm Party Tote and she has owned more than one Vera Bradley. Maybe I should rethink this?

I grew up hearing my father say: "Some people have more money than since". The older I grow, the more I see the absolute reality of that. it is sad, eh?

That is so funny, name brand snob. $100 can buy a lot of fabric. I love tje Bow Tuck I made and then a friend bought it from me (price of the materials). Now I need to make another one. Darn! LOL!!!

oops, sorry for the double.

We have Donna Sharp, she has her office and warehouse here in Shepherdsville, Ky, her fabrics are much prettier than vera Bradley, Donna started out in a loft office in her husbands flooring store-teaching quilting. She also makes quilts, jackets, purses, napkins, wallhangings and numerous other quilt things, she has shops that sale her things in Gatlinburg, Tennesse, and various other places, she also is online of course. I do make some of my own bags-but also buy hers, hers aren't $100 a piece- I wash them in machine and air dry hold up fine.
