I'm not laughing at your cat's misfortune, but that phrasing made me choke on my coffee.

I have good results with oxyclean and dawn dish washing soap. good luck

I've had good results from using Nature's Miracle. Put it on the area affected & gently hand wash that spot. The yellow stain should come out.

I've used it on regular clothes when one of mine has an upset tummy on my dirty clothes.

I was just going to suggest Nature's Miracle. It does work well. I have also used it for human stains of this nature.

We just put up with it and try to clean up as best we can. It does get a little frustrating when you have your carpets professionally cleaned and a few days later, there are barf stains.

My cat's used to do that (and still do occassionally). I tried different foods too but it didn't help. Finally, we found out they were chewing on our flip flops and that was making them sick. Now we hide all things made from rubber/foam and when one of them gets sick, we look for shoes that someone forgot to hide!

I recently cleaned some places where my dog threw up with Shout. Worked very well to get the stains out of the carpet.

Oh no, sorry about the kitty.

One of my cats throws up a lot because he has hyperthyroidism - even with medication - I think about half of what he eats comes back up. I'm reasonably sure he can't help it.[/quote]

My rescue Fredrica is a delicate darling, but barfs if she eats more than 2 bites too much. It's always easy to pick up, but
dry enough so that it doesn't leave a stain.

After some years I discovered that if I rub coconut oil on her feet so she'll lick it off, she doesn't barf as much. She flat out won't eat it if it's in her food, but angrily licks it off her foot, while glaring at me all the while! Now she's even gaining much needed weight, in the last 3 weeks almost 2 pounds, which she very much needs. Always been thin, vets didn't know why.
She prefers to sit on fabric, then kick any she doesn't like off the machine while I'm away from it.

I would say Natures Miracle or hydrogen peroxide. I have used peroxide to get blood out of carpeting.

Sorry to hear your cat left you such an unwelcome gift.
It is a relief tho to know my cat isn't the only one that does that. I finally tacked an old fleece blanket on a wall to use for a design wall. It keeps the pieces up out of everyone's way - especially the cat!
