well Chris, have to say, I did like the first picture, but you did a great job on re upholstering it.
I have some dining room chairs I am going to tackle in the spring. April, I love your chair. I think it would look fantastic with the little skirt around the edge of the seat. Oh, how I wish I had something that belonged to my grandma or my dad. I do have my maternal gma's sewing machine. It weighs an absolute ton! What colors are you thinking of April? (I sure do love your cutie patootie always helping you post, too :wink: ) |

I had an upholstery business for 15 years. I've redone a few of these. It probably originally had the bottom upholstered w/an attached box pleated little skirt hanging down. Then there would have been a separate cushion sitting on top of that, about 4"thick w/cording on top and bottom.
