I'm making a basket for our quilt show's penny raffle. I have a quilt puzzle, quilt mystery and a pack of cards so far. I want to call it something like "What quilters can do when the quilting isn't going right" or something condensed along that line.

I did baskets one year for the guys. Put a couple of the hot pad things you put your hand into, Barb-Q tools, box of Charcoal lighter cubes, some jars of Seasoning, a bottle of Wine & a couple of Wine Glasses. They loved it!

Great ideas! Baskets gifts always look elegant and EXPENSIVE,too, even if you didnt spend alot!

If you want something homemade, I watched a demo of making baskets clothesline cord and jelly rolls at the quilt show in Knoxville. They can be formed into just about any size and/or shape you want. I have a pattern for a tote bag, but I'm sure there are ones for baskets as well.

I'm thinking of doing some "bread baking baskets" for my sister and my MIL. I think I'll use a bread pan as the basket and include the recipe and handmade potholders.
What else could I add?
