The original agreement was for all-access and as such, is a contract between each subscriber and Craftsy.
They can't just change the rules for existing subscribers. I have written to customer service and I will let you know what I hear back. Watson |
At my age, I have learned that a lifetime warranty doesn't mean a whole lot. Whose lifetime - I had a good set of pots & pans and needed a handle replaced on one, found out the company is no longer. That is just one example, but there have been more.

I had a reply and learnt a new word verbiage
I am reaching out because I did send your feedback to our Management Team and they are requesting to know what class you are trying to watch. As we tell all our customers, your feedback is very important to us. With that said we are currently making changes to our verbiage because you graciously provided this feedback to us. In return, we would like to offer the class you are trying to view to you for free. Please let me know and we will have that class added to your "Classes" icon on your Account Dashboard. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. Thank you so much for your feedback! It is with valuable members like you that we are the Craftsy we are today. Sincerely, |

To contact admin on the Quiltingboard, you can reach Patrice here: [email protected]. However, I'm not sure that signing up for Craftsy is something she can or will do anything about. People are free to make their own choices. |

When you say "admin", are you trying to contact admin here on the board, or are you quoting more of your communications with Craftsy?

People are free to make their own choices. Craftsy are just about to have a new launch and assumed it was Important information for fellow quilters to make an informed choice before paying out. But I’ve done my ressearch and I will leave it at that, let’s hope no more of our members are left feeling ripped off. We quilters deserve better ! |

I didn't realize this low level of business practice had even reached Fon's & Porter; once the most respected quilt shop/site to depend on. I have collected many of their tips and stacks of their magazines in the past. This is disappointing to hear about them. McCalls is another one I really depend on. I hope they don't sink.

I've been in contact with customer service back and forth and the bottom line is that their advertising says you can "access" all classes for free....which doesn't mean you can actually watch them for free. It means you can see the previews.
Weasel words and I told them so. The customer service person kept telling me I was "confused". There are 30 classes that span all the different crafts, that you have to pay for...about 5 (?) of them are quilting. I only paid $9.95 for a year, so it's still a good deal, but burns my bum that they are being so sneaky. I wonder if all new classes will be purchase only? Watson |
It's forums like this that keep consumers informed. Thanks to all.
