We had JC Penney right next door to Woolworth's we always looked there before going to House of Fabrics. Those were the days!

I have two scissors that were DH's grandmother's that were from Sears. One says "Henry Sears & Son" with a date; the other just "Sears".

I thought Montgomery Wards went comepletely out of business.. but few months back , I got a small sale catolog from them... with a web site.....not sure if it is the same as the store.. but it sure reminded me of their old catologs... THAT was the catolog every kid waited on at Christmastime around our parts.. thats or Sears..
