My hubby and I are currently living in our 38 foot motorhome. Were Winter Texans for 3 years and found we didn't like going back to the house, so we sold it. Yes, we got rid of a lot of "stuff", but I found I didn't need so much over previous winter stays. I have fabric under the bed, in a large cupboard and stuffed into quite a few other places. Put the batting bags from Hancocks in the basement until I need them. I press things on the covers over my burners. Cut and sew on table. Sewing machine sit in bag behind the drivers seat in the living room. Yes, it it is cramped sometimes and everytime we eat I have to put things away so I can use the table. If I have a big layout I go to the clubhouse and use the tables. But it works....where there is a will there is a way and I will not give up my quilting. PM me if you have further questions. Currently we are staying in the coastal bend of TX with hot days, but cool, breezy evenings. We were also from OH just north of Dayton.

FYI: Since a RV has a kitchen, bath and furnace it qualifies as a 'house' and the interest on a loan is the same as interest on a mortgage. We had to ask the bank for the paperwork every year but it helped.

Not full-timers but I sure enjoyed our trips.

i did it for 2 years. just me and my 13 yo boy. been out of it for a month and a half. so glad. it got old really fast. it was ok when it was just me, but add in a teenage boy and all bets are off! i would do it again when he is grown, but never again just the 2 of us stuck in a 30 ft camper trailer.

We are half timers. That's 3 months in summer and 3 months in winter. We have a 39 ft. motorhome with 3 slides. It has lots of space and I can carry several quilts to work on. I usually find a quilting group at our campground and that is lots of fun. After DH retired, we joined the VIP program, that is Volunteers in the Parks. We spent 6 wonderful summers in Yellowstone at Snake River Ranger Station. Tried to take a different route out each time. Now our travels take us to FL and VT. We're getting too old to do much driving. I like having a home to go to. Besides, my Pfaff CV is a little too big and heavy to haul around! I have my projects under the bed and the machine fits there nicely. It's a Janome Jem 760.
