Maxine is my all time favorite - didn't know it was a man doing it. He must be really special.

I love Maxine, I have a friend who looks just like her. For years, we thought she was wonderfully odd and then one day I saw the Maxine strip and just LOL. Here she was on the funny pages!

I love Maxine, she is always so right.

A friend in CO sent me a quilt made up of flannel squares & brushed cotton and embroidered Maxine squares for my surprise 80th birthday party and boy,was I surprised. This quilt is so darn cute. I have it over the back of my couch.

I worked for more than 15 years in an office with an exact duplicate of Maxine. She was exactly matched in appearance, and most disastrously, attitude. Try that cynical negativity towards everything for eight hours five days a week and you won't find her very charming, much less amusing. I would dread seeing the world the way she does through her eyes. Think about it . . . .
(Her dog is cute, though.)
