Tranum, I liked the start of the Joe Pickett series but for whatever reason, my library doesn't have book 2 or 3 on download, only as CDs that I will have to request shipped to my location. I should check with Audible if they have it. I tried to skip that book but a major character was gone and I felt I really needed to find out what the heck happened to continue with the series.

You might be interested in the Mike Bowditch series by Paul Doiron, about a Maine Game Warden.

thanks, I will make note of this. William Kent Krueger writes books along this line too which I enjoy.
We have an amazing library system. I can search and choose books online from my chair. They notify me when it’s been found and have it waiting for pickup. So many books, so much fabric, so little time !!

Outlander books

In answer to your question about the Outlander books by Diana Galbadon, they are fantastic! But there are many in the series. Much better than the tv show.
