we are going to button down here in NW Jersey, expecting winds and rain and no electric. My Aunt is at the shore, its not going to be good there, she needs a new roof, i am worried the storm will tear it off.

Have only ever had to deal with cyclones. Your weather is very very frightening to look at and the damage it does is unbelievable.
May everyone in the danger areas come through safely. |

All my Maine fellow quilters stay safe, maybe we can get some quilting done, I'M preping handwork now. :) |
I live in the interior of NH and although it is reported that we too will get "hammered", I know it will be nothing like the coast - especially those of us in the mid Atlantic states. All of you on the coast - stay dry and safe.

thank you for your kind thoughts and prayers, I am near Baltimore, just visiting. Last week swayed with the earthquake. Now hope to see the sunshine on Mon, probably will knit by flashlight.

I'm in coastal Rhode Island. Have stocked up on supplies. If you hadn't gotten batteries by last night you are going to have a hard time finding them. This one feels different. Keeping television off - we will check weather tonight and again tomorrow but the hype and drama just make me crazy. This is the first storm of it's type for my boys - ages 9 and 10. They have been awesome! Want to know how to be prepared so one gathered all flashlights to a central location and the other one inventoried batteries and made me a list so we knew what we have and what we needed. Today we'll secure everything from the yard and store it in the shed.
Then we're gonna hunker down and play board games! Be safe and smart! |
