Maria, that story takes me back. I remember being terrified if the host got stuck on my teeth or anything outside "the rules"
Your son is hilarious!!! :D
And by the way, Joann is just giving facts as the Catholic church sees it.

thank you for the answers. Sorry, didn't realize I wasn't supposed to ask those kinds of questions.

Emi sounds like a real cutie!

This reminds me of my Goddaughter. During the summer before 2nd grade she came with me and her grandparents to a funeral. My neice is tall for her age. She was in a new church and at communion did not feel like sitting in the pew. She wasn't sure what to do when she got to the alter so she took communion. Her parents missed it but her grandparents were there.

Thanks JoAnnGC for your explantation.
It's a shame that we are living in a free country, and not be able to talk about our faith. I love to learn more about my friends here. You are not pushing your beliefs when you exlpain as you did.

I wasn't criticizing, just trying not to break the rules!

It is only a wafer until it is consecrated by a priest it is not a miracle of faith it is the true Body and Blood once the conseration is preformed.

Reminds me when one of my DGS made his First Communion this past spring.
We had our cameras ready and FLASH he made a face when he tasted the wine. Funny.
