I have noticed that my hummers have dropped off too but there are still stragglers. I will also leave my feeder up until I see no more. I sure have enjoyed them this year, it was my first year of having them come and stay.

If she’s flying back through Oklahoma or Texas on her way south, she may have been waiting for you to fill a canteen and loop the strap over her shoulder for her....

Oh that is so beautiful. This year for some reason I did not have any hummers and really missed them. They are fun to watch and pretty trusting.

How blessed you are - they place such trust in you! :P :P :P :P :P

We were told in our area of Wisconsin to take down our hummer feeders Labor Day, as long as they have a food supply they will hang around, they can not function in cool weather.

The speaker said we were doing more harm to them by keeping food for them as they would not head for the warmer weather, stay here and die in the colder temps.
