Hate to be so dumb, but what are Clover Clips and where do you buy them. Thanks
here is a video that shows them in use. http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=XFxsx...%3DXFxsxY3eSRQ http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CK51T8B79DA&feature=fvwrel |
I found mine at Hancock's(50count). Use a Joann's coupon!!!
Joann's has 10count in the store, 50 count package online. Can't say I use them for hemming jeans, all legs here, I need the length! I do love them for holding the binding while hand sewing! |
I use them to hold fabric to my hexies instead of pinning to get them ready to baste. I have the 50 count box and set up a bunch of hexies with the clips, then baste them all, rinse and repeat! Seems to go a lot faster for me this way and the fabric is not distorted by the pin
|
Also clothes pins work well for hemming, especially if you run a bit of washable school glue (Elmer's, etc.) around inside the turned up fabric that's to be stitched down.
I also use clothes pins for bag-closing clips. Cheap, multi-purpose, rarely break. |
I bought my Clover Clips on Amazon for $14 for 50! I use them to group scrap blocks when making a Bonnie Hunter scrap quilt. I'll make stacks of say 10 blocks and clip them together rather than getting stuck with pins.
