They are two dessert custards often served in restaurants. Costco sells creme brûlée this time of the year which is why I thought about it. Flan is offered at many Mexican restaurants. In addition to being offered as a dessert, creme brûlée is often offered at large buffet brunches. Flan is usually served with caramel drizzle, while creme brûlée is served with caramelized sugar topping.
