I have a friend with a deaf bulldog, his names is BEEMER. we love him so much and you would be surprised at how he responds, I can't explain it, but tell him go get the ball and after a while he does.
Bugsy.. because of the way their eyes kind of bulge out. I have a Boston and they are very loving dogs. Good luck with your new dog.
What a great person you must be to take on a dog that is deaf. Good luck to you and your puppy, don't have a name, but love his large paws.
Brutus - Spike - Marley - Moose - Mugs - Zeus - Apollo - Phredd - Marvin - Sluggo -
He looks like a Butcher to me. We rescued a nearly blind poodle and named him Amos. He is the best companion we have ever had. Yours will reward you abundantly!
i feel with you.I had a rotweiler which was deaf but he learned with handsignals and it worked fine.I had him for many years and I got a second dog and he just follow her around.
get rid of it before it turns on you or your family

your boston is too cute. I also have a boston and her name is Oreo Cookie we call her Cookie for short. He will give you many years of enjoyment and love.

I really agree with the name Keller, seems appropriate. And cute he is too. Bless you for taking him, and hope you both have a gazillion happy years together.

If you want a name related to your hobby, "Patches" would be appropriate.
butch
So cute! I would name him Lucky ( because he found you)!
How about Tuxedo?
I really like Max and Keller. Seems as though either would fit him well.
I vote for Keller too...
Someone suggested "Patches", I think that is a great suggestion.
He's cute.! I like Brutus or Buggsy.
My daughter has a deaf chihuahua who is white with a bit of black. He's a sweetheart! |
How about Buster?
Jack
I have never had a dog with a disability. I have 4 rescued dogs. The latest one Jake is a handful, but very loveable. I would suggest Worf (favorite character from Star Trek Next Generation). Jeanniebelle
How about "Bubba"?
My dog went deaf, and to get her to come in at night, I would just turn the porch light on and off. She picked up on that really quick.
He looks like a Buster to me. Buster the bulldog?
Butch
I had a deaf dog. It is amazing how easily they adjust by themselves. Mine was able to hear at one time so it may be harder, but I think he will be fine.
What a cutie! I haven't read all 8 pages, so these may have been suggested already--Signer or Sounder (kind of tongue-in-cheek names).
How about BT, short for Boston Terrier.
Johann Sebastian Beethoven was completely deaf when he wrote his famous 9th Symphony. I think any of his name would be so appropriate. Beethoven would be my choice.
 |
I vote for Keller as well!
