Well when it is late & everbody is starving we have breakfast for supper. It is fast & easy.

I sometimes cook a lot of something on Sundays and we eat leftovers for lunches or suppers. I try to keep peanut butter or ham on hand for sandwiches. Once in a while we eat bagged salads or cereal for supper. I find the older I get the less I like to cook very often. Been cooking for about 53 yrs.

I read "my dear hubby is coming home" and thought how wonderful you have a dear hubby to cook for. I have one now, but have twice lost a dear hubby, and if you think it is hard to stop what you are doing to fix the darling dinner, just imagine how sad it is to have to fix dinner for one. Just rambling on, count your blessings, use the crockpots and make it a bbq night once a week (men don't seem to mind cooking if they can grill something on the bbq)

If I put my sewing or computering before mine - I'd have a new place to abide in - so it's easier to feed him and let him sleep in his chair when finished eating - than to move all this stuff!!! lol

Why do they always have to have dinner at dinnertime, LOL.
I,m still sewing or on the QB. |
This is too funny! As I was reading this thread, my husband called and he's on his way home! It's Tuesday afternoon. I've got to hustle downstairs and get dinner together because that makes him feel really special and loved. Seriously, this man ignores all my clutter as long as I have a decent meal on the table for him. Someone says food, his ears and eyes perk up. He loves to walk in and smell dinner cooking! On the days I'm out working or away in Nether Nether Land, I throw dinner in the crock pot and everyone is happy. They get fed and I get to eat leftovers of my choice! Win-win.

I am one of the fortunate ones. My husband makes lunch every day for both of us. I'm not a big dinner person, nor is he, but if we do want to have that meal, he is always willing to make whatever we want. Like I said, I'm one of the lucky women!
