If I have a nap during the day, I can’t sleep at night. I usually get 6-7 hours sleep a night and when my back starts to hurt, I get up.

I got my first vaccine this morning. DH got his 2 weeks ago. We both registered at the same time. We had to go to different locations of the same St. Joe's system. He in one city I in another. Both about the same distance from home.
I have not been sleeping the last 3 days. We go to bed early but I did not sleep at all the night before last, I was up until about 4am last night. I just tried to take a nap and failed. I am hoping to get some sleep tonight. Only time will tell. Right now I feel like a bit of a zombie sitting here. and it is going on 2pm. |
I take thyroid meds but never was told to take them that early. I take it when I have my morning coffee. The only reason I was told to take it in the morning was because I take another pill in the evening that doesn't mix all that great with it. I have frequent insomnia at night but once I do go to sleep I sleep 8 to 9 hours, sleeping late in the mornings.

Janie, same for my DH and has to wait 4 hours before taking tums for calcium.

Yes, Julie. Synthroid is very anti social; it doesn’t like to mix with anything! I’m lucky as our puppy needs out most mornings at 6. My husband takes her out and then has his pill.

I take Synthroid too. I go to a specialist twice a year to get thyroid levels checked. So far everything has been in the ideal range for me. My first Dr said empty stomach but could never get my levels stabilized. The specialist had to adjust the synthroid several times and said he didn't care when I took it as long as it didn't interfere with other meds. Drs. should get on the same page! Who do you believe?

I refuse to get up at 3 a.m. but do at 5 a.m. some days. trying to go back to sleep is almost impossible. Lately i've been thinking of Climate Change and that is depressing. sort of like today.

Another early(?) riser here. If I wake up at night I can pretty much guarantee it will be after about 4 hours sleep.... Usually I can go right back to bed and sleep but not always. Not as often as before I had the CPAP machine. It used to go in spurts then 5 years ago between my ill health and DH's I used to tell the medical professionals that I had to get up at 3 a.m. to battle "the demons".....
DD just told me today that she is losing her roommate in May so will be looking for another place to live.. in this housing market who knows where she will end up. But it won't be with me as I'm in a seniors complex so she's not old enough to live here... she's too far from work and doesn't drive. She had two part-time jobs at minimum age so I'm back in "mom - fretting stage"... But otherwise.... I have a set routine of reading the news and such online, check out the comics and then back to bed after about an hour and a half. Sometimes i get my desk cleared off... for some reason it goes better at night. Waiting for my vaccine.... |
