Lucky you that you have a creative husband! BTW, that stool is beautiful.

Would love to see some of his work. Stool 'cover' is great.

Love the rug..what is the name of the book ? Please and thank you ...

Very nice stool cover. Wish my DH would get a crafty hubby.

He did a great job. Hooking is almost a lost art, and there are so many pieces that can be useful

adamae, no, he does the old hooking using linen and a tool that much resembles a crochet hook and a gripper frame stand. His hobby makes my quilting/sewing look cheap. Wool is ridiculously expensive. He has made some pretty awesome rugs, stair treads and other projects.
Bonus ** he makes the best foccacia I've had anywhere :-) best, d |
Caswews,
This 'design' is one of his own. Told him I didn't want a 'picture' (because I do some much appliqueing) and that was what he came up with. best, d

Whigrose -
My sister is a hooker. She does buy a lot of wool by the bolt but she buys a lot of wool garments at thrift shops. She washes them in her washer and dries them in the dryer. And then proceeds to rip and tear and scavenge. The best days for wool gathering is when the stores have their half off days. |
Great job! Wonderful hobby.

WOW! How lucky for you! I have a collection of hooked rugs .. wish I had my very own hooker!
