I remember my first perm..mom sent me to our local hair style shop ...the lady curled my hair with one of those electric machines hooked up to the curlers. I will never forget...I was in the shop by myself & scared to death.

LOL I am sure I'd find a few things they'd consider as "old" that I remember. Like Spoolies for curling your hair? Remember those. Not sure I spelled it right.

It only takes 25 years to be old or antique! OMGosh, my younger son is now antique! What does that make me?!
|
LOL all 3 sons are antique. I'm history :) :)

I have dicarded things that I see people selling on ebay...I have a lot of wooden thread spools but don't know what a spoolies is and I'm old

It's not considered an antique till it's 100 years old. (300 in Europe) So that just makes you vintage. Opps,, that makes me vintage, too!!! LOL Everyone have a great day.

I remember using strings for setting hair rather than making quilt blocks :)
I may be sitting on a fortune... |
This has nothing to do about quilting, but my son (who is 41 now) but when he was younger was going on about a really cool band (Paul McCartney and Wings) I told him there is only one Paul McCartney and he was with the Beatles. We checked the band out and I said yes that is him. Son says can't be he isn't that old. We laughed the other day when he called and said he had spoken to his oldest and she mentioned a band member she "was hot for" and he told her yeah he has some of his albums from the "wayback machine". She says "he can't be that old". Karma. LOL!
